I got home Friday afternoon + did one of my favorite things to do - checked the mail! Seriously - I love getting my mail, even if there are just bills - hate junk mail though! You are pry wondering why I even like to get bills - ok, brace yourself for this one - I enjoy writing checks! WEIRD - I enjoy spending $! :)
Anyways - we had one of THE best packages in the mail on Friday - actually it wasn't addressed to "we" - it was addressed to ME! Nick's aunt, Mary, sent us some amazing granola - she originally brought this granola from Colorado with her on our trip about a month ago to
NM. Mary makes the granola at home + I know - I've heard it's not that hard, but as you all know I am not a baker/cooker/whatever you want to call it. I was actually very surprised she sent it because she said she would just be sending the recipe, but that wasn't even included in the box! So, Mary, does this mean you are going to just continue to send us a batch whenever we're out!? KIDDING - I'll be emailing you soon for the recipe! ;)
Nick + I immediately started taking hand-fulls out of the bag + Mitsy wanted to join in and get a few pieces too. Sorry Mom, I know you hate when I feed her human food . . . we've cut back a lot, trust me! This stuff is so good - we made sure to get some yogurt to mix with while we were at Hy-Vee today! Oh - and as you can tell above - we have a large batch + if anyone wants to try, I think we might be willing to share a little. Maybe . . . :)
