And yes it's a capital F! I'm sure most of you know what F stands for + if you don't . . . ask me privately! :)
Anyways . . . one of my biggest fears is to get a flat tire when I'm by myself because I truly have no idea what kind of sound I'm looking for or what I'd even do if I got one. Well, after this morning now I know . . . So, I was driving to work this a.m. + was already running behind. Nick had even text asking if I was already at work because he usually heard from me by then . . . so I got in my car (without checking out my tires before taking off -- I mean, who does that? Cari says she does . . . I don't believe her) + called Nick. IMMEDIATELY I told Nick that my car was driving funny + we were like oh because it's cold - yeah that wasn't it. I even told Nick "I hope it's not a flat tire" + he said "you and your worry of flat tires . . . " I drive from WDM to Johnston for approx 25 mins on this dang thing. I'll be lucky if I didn't ruin the rim. So, I get to work and I look at the front tire on the drivers side + sure enough it's flat + the rim looks like it wants to pop off! UGH!
I take the below pic of it + email it to Nick at work to let him know he's going to want to call me. He said he'll call Triple A to have someone come help + they tell him they are only handling "emergencies" because of the weather here. Isn't this an emergency!?!??! I mean - what exactly qualifies + now, why are we paying this fee to have this service? Whatever!
So from 8-10:30 I attend a company wide web cast + continue to worry about my car + what to do with it. Nick found a place close by for me to call after the meeting. Thank God we have great friends in DSM + who I work with. Chad (the rock star) Cruzen braved the freezing cold weather to put on my spare + Steph (also a rock star) Cruzen followed me to the nearest tire place to drop it off + pick me up! They even took me to lunch with them! :) Thanks Cruzens!
However, I'm still waiting to hear back about my tire -- is it repairable? What caused this? Can't wait for the bill, either! :(
