Iowa State Fair!

The Hitsman Family joined some friends at the fair!  Today was the final day of the fair, entrance was 1/2 off and the weather wasn't too bad. . . win-win all around!  It was really fun to show Cooper some baby farm animals and of course, eat some terrible-for-you yummy food!

Our first stop was the baby animals building . . . Cooper checked out some baby ducks, cows, pigs and goats.  He really did love the baby moo cow the best!  Wouldn't have guessed that, huh!?

We then moved on to Little Hands on the Farm!  This was super cute to do with Cooper, even if he didn't 100% get it this year!!

We grabbed some tasty food - Nick had a Cookie Mountain from the Bauder stand.  I had cheese curds, but REALLY wanted to try the bacon-wrapped ribs on a stick (they were out . . .).

We ended the day in the Varied Industries Building.  We stopped at the ISU tent and picked up some super cute t-shirts for Cooper . . . check them out:

We also saw this really cool lego design in the Varied Industries Building:

It was a good day!!

Tractor!

The other morning Cooper was hanging out in our bedroom while I was getting ready.  He has a basket of toys in our room to go through while he waits for us and after a while I turned around to see what he was playing with.  Cooper had found his red tractor and was pushing it around!!

I swear he even says "beep beep" while pushing it around ;)

Also . . . I swear he ends up saying TRACTOR . . . or, he's at least attempting to say it!  You can bet Papa Jim is loving this!

dinner date

I know it - are you surprised to hear from The Hitsman's?  I haven't blogged in forever, but decided to give it a try again.  I'm very bummed that I didn't keep up with this monthly for Cooper's 1st year.  He turned 14 months today. . . time really does fly . . .

This evening we brought the buddies, Weston and Cooper back together!  They hadn't seen each other in over a week.  There were a couple "hiyas" and a little rock sharing/throwing.  Then we decided to put them in their booster seats for dinner.  This was the very first and very last time we'll ever do that!  Weston did just fine, but Cooper was very distracted and decided not to eat too much.  The gelato after daycare might've had something to do with that too . . . whoops!  Weston was very helpful and got Cooper to eat some pineapple, however that's all he ate - only fruit, no veggies, no meat.

Then it was playtime!  Cooper loves playing outside with Weston . . . playing with the beach ball, pushing around the mower and trucks.  And for some reason bottle caps are a huge hit with these boys!

Coming {again} Soon!
