This blog is overdue! Nick + I traveled to MN this weekend + last weekend to visit family + friends!
Weekend of 01.20-01.22
We headed up to Minneapolis Friday afternoon to stay with my sister, Cari, for the weekend. Once we arrived, we all headed to meet up with some more great friends at a great piano bar, Howl at the Moon! It was really great to see everyone - we hadn't seen our Minne friends since last October! After we left Howl at the Moon we headed to Pizza Luce to grab a slice of pizza - I think it would've tasted better if I had as much to drink as the rest of the group! ;)

Playing a new game - 5/10

On Saturday, Cari + I started out the day by getting manicures + then we picked Nick up to grab some lunch at
yum! I was so excited to go there because they have some tasty cupcakes + I finally got a boston cream pie cupcake! After lunch we headed to
west elm +
The Container Store so Nick + I could get a few things for the house. We went back to Cari's + watched
Contagion, which really wasn't all that great. After the movie, we got ready for dinner with friends at
McCoys - pretty tasty!

Weekend of 01.27-01.29
Nick + I headed back to MN after work on Friday - this time to visit friends in Owatonna (where we moved from a little over a year ago). It was a little bittersweet for both of us - we had a pretty good discussion about it on the way home - we miss it, but think we made the right move to IA.
Nick dropped me off with my friend, Kara, on Friday - her + I had dinner at Torey's + then went back to her house in Waseca. When we got there, her cute little boy, Max, was awake because of teething - but he sure gave me lots of smiles! He's one of the CUTEST little guys I've seen + he's so well behaved. Max is 10 months + it definitely showed me what Nick + I are getting ourselves into by having our first babe - but Max didn't scare me, made me even more excited to meet our little one!
On Saturday, Nick played boot hockey in Owatonna with friends from Federated Insurance. Kara + I had lunch at the bagel shop - it's really called Old Town Bagels. I picked Nick up + we headed back to DSM to pick our fur-babe, Mitsy, up! Once we got back, Nick opted to rest since he was sore from playing boot hockey + I went out to help celebrate a friends birthday, Justine's 27th! We ate at Appare + the rest of the group went to the bar when I went home.
We've spent today cleaning, doing laundry + grocery shopping! And now the husband has just made dinner + is telling me I need to go eat.
